Key Lime Pie

Key Lime Pie

Check out this easy recipe for key lime pie!

The last leg of our summer vacation was Virginia, where we stayed with my aunt and Uncle.  Surprisingly, my UNCLE is the one who does most of the baking, and we were excited to try out this recipe!  I had never attempted key lime pie at home, because I thought it would be too much work and just not as good as the restaurants.  But this recipe proved me wrong!  It is tangy yet sweet at the same time and the texture is perfect.

You can view the recipe here: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/emeril-lagasse/key-lime-pie-recipe.html

The pie was GONE right after dinner.  Since there wasn’t a single piece left, I would say it was definitely very tasty!!

TIPS:
*You can buy an already prepared graham cracker crust if you do not want to make your own.

*If you like it a little more sweeter than tangy, add 1-2 Tbs powdered sugar in the filling and in the sour cream topping.

*If you don’t have a zester, you can use a potato peeler to peel the lime, then cut it very thinly with a knife (which is what I did in the picture above).
